We celebrated our anniversary at Beaches Turks & Caicos’s new Treasure Beach Village (and now we can’t wait to return with our teens)

Luxury suites and villas, fine dining, and an infinity-edge lagoon pool overlooking the ocean elevate this famously family-friendly resort.

When my husband and I traveled to the sprawling, all-inclusive Beaches Turks & Caicos in Providenciales to celebrate our 20th anniversary, we did so with an eye toward seeing if the resort’s new Treasure Beach Village could convince us to come back with our teenagers in tow. Spoiler alert: It did. Here’s why.

Location, location, location

Thanks to a massive barrier reef, Grace Bay (where the resort is situated) is world-renowned for pristine conditions. It’s all about warm, wave-free bliss under sunshiny skies. Beaches Turks & Caicos ribbons along this famous beach, with powder-soft white sand leading into crystalline Caribbean waters you can easily bask in all day.

Treasure Beach, the newest village at Beaches Turks & Caicos, was just introduced earlier this year. The multi-bedroom-and-bathroom suites and villas offer plenty of room to spread out, which can be a bit of a luxury in and of itself on vacation. We stayed in a Concierge Suite, which features an airy blue and beige ambiance, easy access to the beach, and concierge services to book reservations and activities.

With a private patio and contemporary coastal design, we felt like we were blessed with our own place in paradise.

Choose to stay active or relax

Beaches Turks & Caicos is the flagship of the Beaches Resorts brand, sister to the adults-only Sandals Resorts. Known for Sesame Street character interactions and water slides, Beaches’ Providenciales location is a massive, five-star resort with activities to keep you serenely occupied during your vacation days. All-inclusive activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, sand volleyball are among the ways to keep busy.

My husband and I enjoyed exploring the various villages, playing pickleball, and lounging on Grace Bay Beach. While I did get hit with a stray football at a family pool, we found plenty of quieter spaces to escape to, especially since Treasure Beach is located on the more serene western edge of the resort. The sparkling, infinity-edge lagoon pool and 32-seat Starfish Cinema are new additions at Treasure Beach Village.

Pastel sunsets painted the seemingly endless skies and evenings buzzed with live music and elaborate beach parties. Street parades, reggae bands, and fire dancers lit up the breezy, star-strewn nights.

Dining options for all palates

Beaches Turks & Caicos boasts more than 20 dining options, including some that are new for Treasure Beach. Named for late Beaches and Sandals founder Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Butch’s Island Chop House brings a Sandals sophisticated steak and seafood concept to Beaches for the first time. Dry-aged steaks, herbaceous chimichurri, and caramelized bananas Foster made our anniversary dinner especially memorable.

OUR PERSPECTIVE: Are Beaches Resorts worth the money? Here’s what to know

My husband is an eggs and sausage guy for breakfast, while I tend to gravitate towards new tastes and textures. That’s why the new Pinta Food Hall is such a great option for groups, whether there are two of you or a whole multigenerational family. I thoroughly enjoyed the savory waffles from the Asian kitchen, as well as Caribbean, Italian, and Mexican dishes. Craft coffee, frozen yogurt, and food trucks around the property also excited our taste buds.

A resort worth returning to

From the almost unreal aquamarine waters to the warm people who brought polish and panache to the expansive resort, Beaches Turks & Caicos is a Caribbean enclave we can easily see returning to. My husband still talks about the cold drinks delivered to our beach lounge chairs via a friendly face with a sand wagon.

We visited as a couple, but would definitely return with our kids. While I foresee the teens enjoying the high-end food and pickleball as much as we did, I imagine there will be less calm and more family fun the next time we visit.
